I got some great news! Remember how I said that technically I got a job at Select Specialty Hospital, but that I was waiting for Baptist Hospital to call me back? Well they didn't call me back, so after 2 days, I pretty much gave up and assumed that they didn't want to hire me. WELLL.....They called! Thursday morning! I was up early for some reason, and they offered me the job! Of course I took it, and I am starting October 18. I have to go in Tuesday to get all of my paperwork done. Man, I am so excited about this job! I'm finally ready to be a "real" nurse! It's on an Ortho/Neuro floor, so even though it's Med/Surg, hopefully I'll see some really interesting cases. My ultimate goal is still Labor and Delivery, though, of course! I'm going to start out on Day shift and later on if they need me to switch to Nights I will.
I have some more things to talk about, but I guess I better save some of Miscellany Monday (tomorrow), right? :)
